Victoria Colts J.F.C started in season 1993/94, along with myself, George Hamlet, David Compton and Barry England.  All of the founder members are still connected to the club in some way. The club was originally called Wallasey Rangers who played in the Wallasey Junior League.

In 1994 the founder members of the club were offered facilities by Tranmere Victoria Cricket Club in Victoria Park, Tranmere to use as the clubs new base. We put it to the board of Wallasey Rangers who refused the offer, so the four founder members decided to take up the offer from the cricket club and Victoria Colts was formed.

Season 1994/95 seen the birth of Victoria Colts Junior Football Club and enter the Wallasey Junior League at Under 10’s level. The team was made up of children who resided in the Rock Ferry & Tranmere area. After the first season the club were finding that more and more children from all over the Wirral wanted to play for the club.

From one team the club has grown from strength to strength and we now have 12 teams ranging from under 6's to Youth age and a senior side. We have a committee, managers, & players who all work very hard for the good of the club, and they are all very proud and privileged to be involved.

The club was approached in 2005 by Cammell Laird F.C. who play in the Unibond League, to become a feeder club for them. The aim is to help Lairds and ourselves to try produce outstanding footballers for the future. It will hopefully bring the better players to our teams knowing that they have an opportunity to eventually play a good standard of football in the Unibond League or even higher should Laird’s progress.

My aims for the future of the club as Chairman is to have all Managers and Coaches of the club to be qualified to the standards set by the F.A. To acquire the F.A. Charter Standard Mark for junior clubs, which would help the club with gaining an even better profile and hopefully better us financially through important sponsorships? For all those who are involved within the club to enjoy what they are doing as I have for the past 15 years. For the club to become the biggest and most successful club on the Wirral.  And for our sons, who have played for the club and those of our Managers who now play, to carry on the good work once we have all long gone.

Club Thesis

Victoria Colts Junior Football Club will never forget the one and only reason why it all started to give every child boy or girl who enters our club the opportunity to play and learn the game of football and to have fun whilst playing.
