SEASONS HIGHLIGHTS.
Its been a dissapointing season as results have gone but some of the football the lads have played has been really good and we have come away losing games by the odd goal. The lads
where the fourth highest goalscorers in the league, but unfortunatly we conceeded the fifth most, hence our league position. I have to say that the standard of football is very high in the league, and
well done to Vauxhalls league winners and on reaching the Cheshire cup final, also the new teams that had there first season in the Eastham league. Well done to John as the leading goalscorer for
the fourth season on the run. Well done to Aaron also as his elevern man of the match awards was rewarded by the Eastham League at the league presentation night as he picked up a trophy for his
efforts on the pitch last season. Well done to Adam for picking up Players Player voted by his team mates. We had a good run in the Cheshire cup reaching the fourth round after beating Glenavon 2-0 as they where the runaway leaders of the Wallasey league, two great finishes from Adam and John to take the tie and progress into the fourth round to be narrowly beaten 2-1 by Ellesmere port after a good game. Top cup going out to Eastham Rangers again 2-1 after good game from both sides. We ended the season as the fourth top scorers in the league which is encouraging as we played some good football going forward, but making silly mistakes cost us as the standard is very high in the league, and if you make mistakes you get punished. So just to say well done lads for last season. Next season cant come fast enough.
The lads also had a success in the Vauxhall tournament in June, as we won the trophy 6-0 after playing a team from Crewe off the park in the final. A great performance as the Crewe team had beaten the favorites Vauxhall 1-0 in the semi.
