TOURNAMENT REPORT.

After competing in the group stages, we got through to the knockout stage. The squad playing some good football to go through.

Winning 1-0 against the hosts Allport Hawks and completing the group unbeaten. Quarter Final’s. Shore villa B. going through 1-0 a good goal from John

Semi Final’s. Eastham Rangers. Started the game well but go a goal down thinking were on our way out

But two great goals in a minute from Karl and John got us through to the final, Final. Vs. Shore Villa A, who we had beaten in the group 1-0.

The game kicks off both sides creating chances and playing some good football our goalkeeper Danny pulling off some great saves,

John and Karl both were going close to put us in front. 0-0 half time. 2nd half both sides pushing for the opening goal both teams defending well and creating chance after chance good goalkeeping and defending from both sides and pushing for the winner on the break. Full Time. 0-0

Extra Time. Still 0-0 Shore Villa A hitting the post. No goals in extra time.

Penalties. Both sides to take 3 penalties each. Karl, John and Andy J. step forward to take our spot kicks John scores the first 1-0, Shore Villa 1-1

Karl steps up to take the 2nd pen fires it in 2-1 Shore Villa, 2-2. Andy I steps forward to take our third and last penalty placing it with power into the corner of the net, giving there goalie no chance 3-2. Shore Villa one of there best players on the day steps up shoots placing the ball to the left of our goalie, with a great dive Danny pushes the ball round the post. 3-2 Victoria Laird Colts.

I think we deserved the victory on the day the squad all played well to pull off the win after a well contested final from both sides Well Done Lads.
