After a long enforced lay off the boys returned to action in a cup tie which they lost I would like to refer more to this game but cannot at this time due to legal reasons. One comment I can make about our boys was how proud I was of their display on the day, they as always attempted to play their football in the right way and manner.
This week we have a fixture in the league, which sees The Colts entertain Young Lions. Having met early in the season I can only say that we were worthy winners on the day. I know at the time they had lost a number of last seasons player but have now strengthened their squad considerably with a number of new signings.Their results have improved as a result and I'm sure they will come with confidence high aiming to put on a fine display and get something out of the game. For our part we need to put recent events out of our mind and concentrate on the game. We will prepare the boys during the week and have them ready come kick off and expect a fine game. The Colts will have to be at their best to produce a result against ever improving Young Lions but I have faith and confidence in all our boys and look forward to the fixture. As always the only part of the game that counts to me is the teams performance get that right and results will follow so lets hoe the weather doesn't once again spoil our preparations and we get the game on come Sunday. I also hope that this is the start of a long run of fixtures not ruined by the weather and we can once again get into the rhythm of games week in week out a vital part of performing well.
